A faucet or leaky faucet repair is a device used to deliver water from the plumbing system. And, it is used as a stopper to stop the liquid from coming out. It comes from a French word and appears in English text and mostly we use other terms for faucets such as valve, spigot, tap, outlet, bibcock, stopcock, etc.

How to Fix Leaky Faucet Repair?
- The First step in leaky faucet repair is to prepare the faucet and sink. Mainly start by turning off the water in the sink. Typically, the valves are under the sink basin, close to the wall. It should be one for hot and one for cold. Turn both clockwise.
- Next, open the faucet to release the remaining water in the line, and then turn off the drain. If you don’t have a good drain cover, place a kitchen towel over the drain to prevent small parts from falling out.
- Repairing a leaky faucet is a relatively straightforward plumbing project, but there are different ways to fix various types of faucets. Before starting the repair, determine the type of faucet.
There are two basic types: those that are washable and those that are not. A faucet with a washer is called a compression faucet. Faucets without washers are known as washerless faucets and include cartridges, ceramic discs, and ball-type faucets. Find the section below that describes how to fix your faucet type.
